Mr. Adrian Randal

Adrian Randal held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados in 2004.

Prior to this appointment Mr. Randal, a Barbadian citizen, held senior positions in several leading organisations in the United Kingdom. Nationally recognised in the United Kingdom as a leading expert on charity financial matters, Mr. Randall moved into the charity world in early 1987 with the Cancer Research Campaign. In 1988 he founded the Charity Finance Directors’ Group in the UK and was its Chairman until 1992.

From 1993 to 2006 Mr. Randal was a member of the England and Wales Charity Commission's Charity Accounting Review Committee. In 2004 he became an external examiner for the MSc in Charity Accounting and Financial Management Course at Cass Business School, City University, London.

Mr.Randal was a member of the Barbados National Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases Commission which was set up on January 26, 2007. He was a member of the Government of Barbados Ministry of Heath Task Force on the Development of Cardiovascular Services, chairman of its Working Group on the Provision of Resuscitative Services and a member of its Working Group on the creation of a Cardiovascular and Stroke Registry 2006-7.

Adrian Randal was elected to the Board of the InterAmerican Heart Foundation as a “Member at large” on November 5, 2007 for a two year term of office. He was a member of the international Framework Convention Alliance (FCA) on tobacco control’s Policy Committee since 2006. He was elected a Director and Trustee of The Barbados Diabetes Foundation on March 13, 2007 for a three year term of office.

He was a President of the Old Harrisonian Society, President and PR Officer of the Rotary Club of Barbados South and a member of the Barbados Association of Retired Persons, the Barbados National Trust, Barbados Marine Trust, the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, Wanderers Cricket Club and the Barbados Cricket Association, serving on its Finance Committee.
