The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados (HSFB), is seeking to recruit a dynamic individual with strong principles, business acumen and commitment to national/community development to join their team as Chief Executive Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, developing commercial arrangements, the financial and operational oversight of the Foundation.
Critical to this role are:
- Working with partners from the relevant NGO’s, civil society organizations, governmental departments, private sector and donors to promote cardiovascular preventative action and screening that will transform the health landscape and provide outcomes for vulnerable groups and those who are sick.
- Being the visible ambassador to champion the interests of those afflicted with cardiovascular disease and their families.
The ideal candidate should have an undergraduate degree and/or equivalent qualification with a solid background in business financial management, administration or public affairs, and be aufait with typical business computer applications.
The candidate is required to have a thorough understanding of and experience in marketing, brand building, communications, human resources, planning and organisational development. Experience in working with charitable organizations and volunteer boards, knowledge and understanding of some or all of the following – advocacy, research and fund development would be a definite asset.
Remuneration: A reasonable package will be offered to the successful candidate.
