Fiona Anthony relocated from the UK to Barbados in 2003 after a 10-year career in the National Health Service in the UK as a Senior Physiotherapist specializing in the rehabilitation of patients with complex medical problems, particularly heart disease and stroke.
On her arrival to Barbados, she took a position with the international pharmaceutical company, Sanofi, and had the opportunity to be responsible for the regional sales and strategic marketing of a portfolio of products for the treatment of cardiovascular conditions throughout Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. Fiona’s clinical physiotherapy skills, pharmaceutical experience and a growing interest in the area of the prevention of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases fueled her passion to move into healthcare administration.
Following the completion of her MBA, she was responsible for the management of a Surgery and Birthing Centre in Barbados.
Fiona holds a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Manchester, UK and also holds an MBA with Merit from the University of Durham, UK.
