Mrs. Lisa Gale
Mrs. Lisa Gale is an experienced trade policy advisor, economist and tutor who spent almost a decade working as a senior advisor to Government on International Trade Policy. Until recently she held the post as Executive Director of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). From January 2010 to March 2017 Lisa spearheaded the BCCI’s efforts to advance private sector interests leading to increased business facilitation.

She served as a Senior Economist with the Foreign Trade Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade before taking up the post as Executive Director of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in January 2010. She is the first female to hold that position in the 192-year old institution.

From January 2010 to March 2017 Lisa has spearheaded the BCCI’s efforts to advance private sector interests leading to increased business facilitation, member development, a greater awareness of export development and brought attention to improved national competitiveness. As Executive Director, Mrs. Gale has represented the Chamber at various levels including leading the business community’s advocacy agenda, coordinating the networking calendar, attending Social Partnership meetings, and was an ardent representative while interfacing with government officials. Lisa has also represented Barbados at various meetings abroad as a private sector official in North, Central and South America, Asia and close to home in the Caribbean.

Before demitting office, she was lauded for the several stakeholder relationships which have been fostered under her stewardship. Lisa also tutored Micro and Macro Economics at the University of the West Indies for 3 years before she completed her Masters’ degree in International Trade Policy which she gained with Distinction, following which she did specialized training in tourism policy and hotel management. She is also the holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and History with honours.

In 2015, Mrs. Gale completed Training as a Community Mediator under the Impact Justice Programme. She is a Chartered Director and a member of the Caribbean Institute of Directors. She is a new board member of the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Barbados and an Executive member of the newly formed Barbados Association of Community Mediators.

Lisa Gale is the Managing Director and Principal Consultant of Lisa Gale Consulting, which she started in October 2014, a registered business consulting firm.
