Under this programme Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) training and certification is provided to laypersons, health care providers, and medical students. Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) training and certification is provided to medical doctors and other specially selected health care workers. A Heart Saver First Aid programme provides training for the general public in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator and general first aid. There is also an intensive training course for medical, nursing and paramedic personnel on Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
All the Heart Foundation training courses under this programme are run by instructors accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) through the use of approved training manuals and the award of AHA certificates.
