Dr. Kenneth Connell
Dr. Kenneth Connell is currently Deputy Dean & Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology, in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Cave Hill campus, the University of the West Indies. He is an Associate Consultant in charge of the Resistant Hypertension clinic at the QEH.

Dr. Connell is currently Governor of the American College of Physicians (ACP) Caribbean Chapter. The ACP is the second largest medical professionals organization in the world with over 150,000 members.

Dr. Connell also currently serves as Chair of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) Hypertension Guidelines committee tasked with the production of the new hypertension guidelines.

He was PI on the PAHO- US CDC Standardized Hypertension Treatment Project (SHTP) – Barbados Pilot 2014-16. The project examined how the implementation and use of a standardized treatment algorithm, with provision of affordable drugs, and the generation of a hypertension registry, could achieve better control in patients with hypertension. The project is expected to be expanded, both locally and regionally, in 2017.
