The National NCD Commission @ncdcommissionbarbados and the Ministry of Health and Wellness invites you to: “Building Heart Healthy Communities“, a Town Hall Meeting, on Wednesday February 21st, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in Barbados and this alarming trend can be attributed to a combination of factors such as: poor nutrition, lack of physical activity, mental illness, smoking, excessive alcohol use, lack of rest, age, gender, race, ethnicity and genetics.
To address this public health concern, the town hall meeting will feature a panel of experts who will delve into the challenges faced by the Barbadian public in combating heart disease.
